What Customers Say About Pro-Grade 7" Bench Top Wet Tile Saw - 1/2 HP 3600 RPM:

So if you order this saw, save yourself some time and money and order a good diamond blade at the same time and do not use the one that comes with the saw. Because of this I rated the saw 4 stars but would have rated it 5 stars if it came with a good blade. I promptly went out and bought a continuous rim diamond blade for about $25 on sale, and the difference was night and day. It would not even make one 6" cut on the travertine. I had a bunch of leftover and broken travertine pieces from a previous home remodel that I wanted to use. After buying the saw, I was pleased with it's overall construction, especially the rip fence, which is metal. I bought this saw a few weeks back and just finished a small bathroom tile job. The fence was able to be clamped down securely and I never had to readjust it during my entire cutting job except at the end when I had to cut the odd-size pieces on the borders. The only problem with the saw is the blade it comes with is worthless. No issues cutting travertine tiles up to 18" long.

I did, it was both cheap and inexpensive. The motor was so far out of alignment that the blade would not turn until I disassembled the saw and straightened the wall. This saw is the worst of old school cheap design.Too thin sheet metal with small screws threaded directly into the sheet metal. The motor is mounted to a wall of the sheet metal enclosure and the weight is too much for the wall to support. I have to assume that this was damage from being dropped during shipment even though both the inner and outer cartons were in perfect condition.I suppose it is good enough for the few tile jobs that I will use it for, but I shouldn't have to repair a tool before I can use it.I have heard it said that the best you should hope for is that you get what you paid for.

Very with this product. It is not very powerful but it gets the job done and it was least expensive saw online.

But be prepared to fiddle with it to get your cuts done right.Mechanically the saw has been functional and it appears that it will make it through the current project and possibly the next as well. The blade that comes mounted is absolutely worthless. Don't expect it to work AT ALL until you buy a new blade. If renting isn't an option, then this saw WILL get the job done. This made in China tile saw is worth exactly what it costs - which is less than what a decent diamond tile blade costs. Which is the first point to really know about this saw. So when you buy this saw also buy a brand named tile blade here at Amazon. This saw will really cost you about $120 once you pay for shipping and replace the blade, so if your project can be completed with about two days of renting a nice saw - go rent the professional saw.

I am always irritated about reviews like that so I figured I would add my own to this product.I also received this as a gift but I knew I wanted it because it was on my wishlist. The saw performed well except it didn't cut the travertine as fast as the ceramic.

I even used this saw for scoring lines on my 12x8 retaining wall blocks and it scored and made cuts nicely. For the price this is a good saw for the DIYer and small projects around the house. Other people have suggested buying a new blade and I might give that a shot as well.

I put the blame for that on the blade since the RPMs are sufficient. Fence is nice, I have adjusted the latch to provide a tighter grip on the surface.

When I first found this product it had a 1 star review because someone bought it for their husband and gave it one star and said "got it as a gift, not sure about product". So far I have used it for a travertine backsplash and ceramic tiles.

Construction is quite sturdy, the whole ting is quite heavy and mine is all metal.
